For sale is a 10-year-old California construction and remodeling company specializing in additions, ADU construction and garage conversions to ADU, along with some kitchen/bathroom remodels. Serving primarily middle to upper-middle-class homeowners around the LA area, the company experiences several repeat customers with an average project size of $125K. Currently, there are 80 contracted projects in process and 80 leads received monthly. The owner enjoys a nice work/life balance as he is only active about 10 hours for an average week.
Leadership is in place with a sales manager running one side of the business, and a production manager heading up the other side. The owner oversees operations on a very part time basis as he’s put the key people in place to run the business efficiently. In some of the audio clips in the CIM you will also hear from the owner’s right hand legal counsel and small business advisor. It is up to the buyer if they would like to continue retaining the legal counsel (who is paid $11,000 quarterly). The business subcontracts the construction work to the same 5-7 groups they frequently use on projects.
Five experienced and knowledgeable office staff and five sales personnel will stay with the buyer. The buyer will need a contractor General B license or an RMO-Responsible Managing Officer to operate the business.
The seller is willing to seller finance a minority portion of the deal, depending on the buyer and offer.
